Presentation software is primarily used to display various information in a slide show. It is suitable to use for various reasons, whether that be for presentations in the workplace or schools alike. The software makes it possible for the editor to insert text and format it to their liking and choice. It also allows the inserting and manipulation of images which can be from any source, whether that be the internet or uploaded from a personal camera or mobile phone. Presentation software also has the ability to have animations in place for images to move or enter the presentation at a certain time or text to fade in or out of the presentation. Transitions are also able to be put in place in order for the each slide to enter and leave in a particular way or design which is the choice of the edi tor.

The purpose of the presentation software is to make your own custom presentation being able to display information of your choice to educate another. The use of pictures can be used to help visualise the information and transitions and animations can be used to make it less dull. Microsoft Office offers many programs, some of which can be used for presentations, primarily PowerPoint. Microsoft PowerPoint is the most well established presentation software as it is easy to use and can be used for any type of presentation due to the amount of customisation available to the editor, making it suitable for formal presentations as well as for more casual presentations.

by D Woodhams

Presentation software is used to display information for slide shows and other presentations. These presentations can include images, videos and data to be displayed and even printed.

It can be put onto big projections and made to look pretty in order to make a presentation enjoyable, if you were present ideas in paper form or over email is could be boring and tedious.

The purpose of presentation software is to provide an alternative to putting it on paper or emails, it will enable people to get together to watch a presentation as well as do a presentation. Businesses can use presentations in forums for ideas. Schools can use it to teach and learn, also they can be made to revise from or merely save information. Presentations can be clear to understand and change also.

The purpose of email.

Within a business. Emails are a very common type of internal or external communication. It is especially effective internally, businesses benefit from emails in many ways. One way that businesses benefit is being able to send specific instructions to an employee without having to disrupt the employee or anyone else, it is pretty much instantaneous, which is very good for a business because if a business had to arrange meetings each time they need to talk to employees, it would be very disrupting and the employees would become very insufficient with their work which can affect the business heavily. Employees are also able to email from home if they forget something they had to do, they can email to make sure that they are aware of the work they have to do, this is a way that can improve efficiency within a business. A huge advantage of emails for a business is if they need to talk to somebody abroad, instead of having to worry about time zones or geographical regions, they can just send an email and it will be there almost immediately, this is very efficient because they can email back when they can and the have not got to worry about using an application like Skype to talk to each other, although this could be quicker and easier, emailing is more cost-efficient than VoIP.
by C. Taylor

Emails are used internationally to communicate overseas to enable trade, development and much more. Emails allow you to send data over the internet including videos and images as attachments to multiple users at once in multiple areas. One device can send the same email to a range of other devices such as phones, tablets and computers. Emails are most commonly used in businesses to send large amounts of data via the internet securely. For example small to large businesses send their customers regular emails to offer gifts, deals and increase publicity. Below are a few large email companies :

Instant Messaging is the exchange of messages through a software-application in real time. This allows for the client to see whether a user is online and connect with them. Some services, such as Apple's iChat now allow file sharing and voice communication. For Instant Messaging to work, both users need to be online. However, most messaging systems are set to always accept messages regardless of whether the user is online and instead alert them that a message has been sent.
