Task 1 - Getting Started Click to see more

  1. We are now going to open our Learning Journal for todays lesson.

    To download the Learning Journal click on the image below

  2. Now go to the page that says Task 1 and Set your Learning Objectives to the appropriate colour


Task 2 - Logging in to Office 365 Click to see more

Logging in To Office 365

    Let's Login to Office 365 → Click here

    1. Click on the sign in button.
      1. Then enter your school email address, this is your username with @knoleacademy.org on the end.
        For Example if my name was Jill Smith my login would be 23SmithJ@knoleacademy.org
    2. Now enter your school login password.
  • Now add screenshot your Office365 page to your Learning Journal.
  • Review task:

    I have successfully logged into Microsoft 365.
    I have added a screen capture of my Microsoft 365 account.


Task 3 - Using Outlook Click to see more

Lets learn how to use Outlook:

Follow the steps below and send a test message to your teacher.

    Lets go:

    Now you are going to try to send a message to another teacher and include me in the message by using the 'Cc' row.

    Lets try the following tasks:

    Tick each task when you have successfully done it in the following list:

    Complete the following tasks

    Click on New Message
    Click next to the To label
    Type in cshea@knoleacademy.org
    Click next to the Cc label
    Type in my email address
    Add a subject line called'I hope this works
    In the main text explain that you are practicing using Microsoft Outlook
    Tick this box only if you get a 'Well Done'reply from me to your email

    1. Open One Drive

    2. Select the New button and add a folder

    3. See if you can replicate the folders you made last lesson in your Home Drive.

    I have found and added a Folder.
    I have successfully created folders for all of the Computer Science units of work.

    Open a Word document

    1. Click on new blank document

    2. Type anything into the document it doesn't matter what it is

    3. Click File then Save As

    4. Save a copy online

    5. Select the Unit 1 - e-skills Folder

    6. Save your test file inside the - e-skills Folder

    I have successfully opened Microsoft Word from Office 365.
    I have successfully created a New blank document.
    I have typed something into my Word document.
    I have clicked on File then Save As and selcted Save a copy online.
    I have successfully saved My Test File document into my Working files folder.
