Task 2 - Broadcasting Click to see more

Task - Create a game menu so that:

  1. You have 3 different backdrops

  2. You have 2 new button sprites, one with the word 'Start' one with 'Exit'


  3. Now Watch the video below - to create a simple menu system using Broadcasting


    If you have correctly completed the task your scratch code should do the following

  • When the green flag is clicked there are two buttons
    displayed one to start the game and one to exit.

  • When the 'Start' button is pressed the background
    changes and a message is displayed.
    All buttons should also be hidden.

  • When the 'Exit' button is pressed the background
    also changes and a message is displayed.
    All buttons should again be hidden



  • Add a screenshot of your broadcasting system into your PowerPoint.

  • Task 3 - Using Loops Click to see more

    Complete the following tasks:

    1. Copy the loop below to make question repeat until the right answer is given.
    2. Scratch


    3. Break up your questions so that they are called by using broadcasts named question1, question2 etc.
    4. Scratch


    5. Create a new variable called Countdown and add it to a repeat loop to countdown to the quiz start, see below

    7. Challenge - Now try and use a loop in your quiz...
